Promotion!

I finally got promoted to Supervisor!

Started on the 21st June 2009. So happy. Of course promotion = pay raise lahs... got an incremental of $150. Not bad eh? Especially in times of financial crisis like these, where people are losing jobs. Thank you GOD for making this possible.


On a side note, my aunt had a weird dream the other day. She dreamed that i was getting MARRIED!! Haha! She said that my future husband was handsome and had a mustache. OMG. I don't like guys who have mustaches. Although my dad has one, i don't think i can date a guy, much less marry him if he insists on keeping a mustache. ewwww.... Anyway, I asked her if it was a traditional "under-the-block" kind of malay wedding, she said "no", more like a hotel type of wedding. Coolness. Well, I hope it comes true and it's not the "opposite" dream sort of thing! =))

Brought the cheesecake to work yesterday! Then I wanted to present it to Kevan and Chito as if I was selling the desert and this is what i come up with. I apologize in advance. Pictures were taken with my phone camera.


For Kevan:




Cheesecake cupcake with mudpie sauce in the centre. Since he loves chocolate, I added in chocolate loveletters as decoration. =))




For Chito:




Cheesecake Cupcake with maraschino cherry on top and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The decoration for Chito was a bit challenging as he doesn't like chocolate. However, I was quite happy with the outcome. =))


Overall, reviews were good! Will try baking it again with the whipping cream this time. Chris & Zy, i'll bake it for you next time we meet k? loveloves.

Met up with Eleanor, Liza, SueXian and Janice today! Hearts them loads. We have been friends since 15..? Although we meet only once in a long long while, I know that we will forever remain friends! Missed them loads.


Oh yeah, baked cheesecake cupcakes with cuzzlet last monday evening. The recipe called for whipping cream but the NTUC at my house didn't sell them. Then we were too lazy to go all the way to hougang point or any cold storage to buy the whipping cream. So, I substituted for more cream cheese & sugar. Turned out quite well I must say. haha! I will try again with the whipping cream next time! =))

Honestly, I don't know how to pick up the pieces of my life again. I don't know how to move on. I tried, for many weeks I really tried. I never envisioned for this to happen. I had always thought that we would be together till we grow old. Then, you had to go and do this to me. A few weeks back, I prayed almost every night that you would call me and said that it was a big mistake on your part. However, when I called you last week, I could hear the disdain in your voice despite your words saying otherwise. That's when I knew that you don't care about me anymore like you used to.


So now, instead of praying for the impossible, I pray that our paths will never cross in the future. I pray that GOD will grant me the strength to move on, and not to make anymore foolish mistakes. But above all, I pray for your happiness.


This is my destiny.

LOSE WEIGHT YOU FATTY!

I want to lose weight but I don't seem to be able to. Everyday I step on the weighing scale hoping to see a significant change in the numbers but instead i'm greeted with a see-saw show. Sometimes the numbers go up, sometimes it goes down. It never goes down and remains down.


Perhaps I just need more determination to eat rabbit food everyday. I need more determination to stop myself from eating. I need to put up thinspiration pages as my homepage and bookmark them.


How do these people do it? How do they manage to convince their body to stay off food? Whenever I see food my hand will automatically grab for it. I want to know how they can survive on fruits and vegetables everyday. I want to know how they can exercise for three hours a day and still survive on fruits and vegetables. I want to know so that I can do it to.


I look at the people around me and I'm envious of them. I truly am. Then I get angry with myself for not being able to control my own body. It doesn't help that sometimes I get rude and snide comments from my own family. They take it as a joke but it hurts me deep inside. They don't see how much damage it has done to my self-esteem.


It's time to start being thin at any expense.

Baking Mania

I decided to bake the Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip cookies today with my dear Cuzzin! =))


Round up all the ingredients:

Pls ignore the butcher's knife and the can of tuna. We got hungry in between baking. hehe.




During the second batch, cuzzlet decided to add in a piece of MARS bar into each cookie batter. Yummy.

The cookie with the hole is the result of us attacking the warm & gooey MARS bar first!

Mission accomplished! My next mission would be the Chocolate, Toffee & Almond cookies!

I have managed to fall sick... again. I think I was sick only a few weeks back? My immune system is failing me despite eating my multi-vitamins.


Anyway, yesterday I was posted to Citilink as they claimed that they had a "shortage" of manpower. So, jumping on the chance to work at another outlet, I volunteered myself. I was supposed to work there from 12 to 5pm. In the end at 1+pm , I called my manager and asked that I return back to my Kovan. It wasn't a pleasant experience. Seriously.

Then just now I randomly felt like baking. lol. I have yet to decide between the Fat Chewy Chocolate Cookies or the Chocolate, Toffee and Almond Cookies. I mean, come on, look at the pics below.. I wanna eat them both!
